Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers

If you DON’T like the shape, alignment, or size of your existing teeth than Cosmetic Veneers or Lumineers could be the cosmetic dentistry solution you’re looking for.

Porcelain Veneers vs Lumineers

The difference between Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers is simply the preparation of the teeth and the material used. With Porcelain Veneers the entire front surface of the teeth will need to be trimmed very slightly (around 1 millimeter to be exact), but with Lumineers there is little to no preparation of the teeth and so it is called a “prep-less veneer”.

Which veneer type is better depends on what you really want. Dr. Khullar believes the esthetic results from Porcelain Veneers are significantly better, however they do require removal of some healthy tooth structure. Lumineers require little to no removal of healthy tooth structure and will give a decent esthetic outcome, but not the optimal esthetic outcome that Porcelain Veneers offer.

There are several things to consider when deciding between Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers, and the choice is determined on a case by case basis. During your initial consultation visit at Dentalways we will discuss the differences with you in detail and help you reach a final decision.

Dental Implants

When patients need to replace one or more missing teeth, the best solution is often Dental Implants.

Dental implants are man-made tooth roots placed to secure replacement teeth into the mouth naturally. When teeth are missing, the jawbone collapses and bone resorption occurs. Unless tooth roots or implants are there to stimulate the bone, the bone will continue to shrivel away, causing a variety of problems.

In addition to fixing the aesthetics of missing teeth, dental implants can also be used to resolve joint pain or bite problems, to restore facial tissues and to support a bridge or denture.
